2019 Avon Fall Classic (20E015) running order and officials assignments are below for the Saturday’s slalom event.
Please note that we landed with a high volume of slalom skiers and will be running 2 rounds on Saturday. The 3rd round of slalom isn’t looking likely for this tournament. If we have time Saturday we will see about running a modified 3rd round of slalom.
First skier off the dock at 8am.
Let me know of any questions.

The Russ Cole Memorial Mass State Championships this weekend is a very full tournament so we will be starting promptly at 8AM. Attached are the running orders for all events. Please check the running order so you know when you need to be on site. This should be a really fun event but we will need to work hard to ensure we move along efficiently so everyone has their best opportunity to perform their best. And don’t forget about the barbecue spectacular that will be held at the end of the day on Saturday

Eastern Region Rules Committee Report 2018
2018 Eastern Region Tournament Schedule 012018
Information in the Eastern Regional Guide for the Russ Cole Mass State Champions on July 16th and 17th is incorrect or a bit sparse. The tournament schedule matrix is incorrectly showing slalom on Saturday and trick and jump on Sunday. The correct order is that standard format of jump and trick on Saturday and slalom on Sunday
Just to be clarify the other information in the guide:
The cost for adults is $45 for 1 event and $55 for 2 or 3 events
The cost for juniors is $25 for 1 event and $35 for 2 or 3 events
Start Time: Saturday 8AM Sunday 8AM
Schedule of Events:
Jump 2 round back to back Saturday morning starting at 8:00AM
Trick 2 round back to back Saturday afternoon starting 1:00PM
Slalom 2 round on Sunday starting at 8:00AM Slalom order Juniors: Women: Men: 1 thru 10
I’m uploading the document that can be used to familiarize yourself with how the team concept will work at regionals and at nationals.
There will be a page in the regional guide as well for reference.

Hey MD skiers …. the Diamond State tournament on 7/18-7/19 will be used for the MD State Championships. There is an entry limit (see guidebook) for the tournament, so get your entries in.
Reminder for all: State Champ Qualifications —> those that place first in their division/event will qualify for regionals if they haven’t already qualified via score (see guidebook). Wishing everyone good look at the upcoming State Championships!!!
MAWSA (Mass. council) is currently compiling historical and current records. The current list can be viewed here, http://www.awsaeast.org/wp-content/uploads/MassRecords-AsOf20141231.pdf. If you have any additions or corrections, please contact Mike Tilton or Dave Allen. These will be included in the guidebook in the future.
Attention all Massachusetts skiers and former Massachusetts skiers. Mike Tilton and Dave Allen are undergoing an effort to compile, post, and maintain state records for slalom, trick and jump. Unfortunately this has not been done in many, many years and all previous data was lost. We are starting with scores from the past 10 years as provided by the AWSA Ranking List that gives us a good start and we are looking to supplement this information with scores from past regional guide standings and submissions from folks that have reliable memories. Also, our data from the last 10 years only includes skiers that are currently registered as Massachusetts USAWS members, therefore if anyone has a score they would like to submit from a skier not currently a Mass resident but was at the time of the score that would be acceptable. Scores can be submitted to Dave Allen or Mike Tilton.
