WSTIMS For Windows Task Force

I have set up a Windows Scoring Task Force to assist Dave Allen in the development of the Windows Based Scoring Program. Jeff Clark has volunteered to be the Chairperson of the Taskforce and Yvonne Downs (SC), Laura Jonson (W), Denise Caldwell (SC); Kate Knafla (MW) and Jennifer Frederick (E) have agreed to serve on the taskforce.
The following is a list of the issues that the taskforce will be addressing:

1. Help coordinate a list of program corrections as they are discovered and move forward to resolution. This should prevent Dave from receiving multiple emails concerning the same problem.

2. Make sure that all of the Scorers involved in the testing are using parallel testing with WSTIMS DOS 3.57 and are reporting problems pro and con to the taskforce.

3. The taskforce should seek out qualified Scorers in their regions to assist in as parallel program testers.

4. Create a time table to announce when the program is ready for full deployment.

5. Keep the AWSA Board of Directors informed in regards to the progress of the program testing.

6. Make sure that the report output files produced by the Windows program are compatible with and support the current system for the AWSA and IWWF Ranking List, Safety programs and Officials records.

I am sure the taskforce will come up with further task’s that will be necessary to complete the testing and approve the program for use.

The most important item is to support Dave Allen with as much guidance as possible to insure that the new Windows Based program will be ready for use by our Scorers’ by early 2011.
