AWSA JUDGES, SCORERS, DRIVERS CLINICS

May 22 & 23, 1999 Twin Lakes Waterski Park  Monroe, NY

Over 45 officials participated in the weekend event hosted by Twin Lakes Waterski Club.  The classroom portions were held at the Ramada Inn in Mahwah, NJ.
 Twin Lakes Waterski Club would like to thank Eric Horton and Gary Allen of Perfect Pass, and Jack Mills of Accuski for their participation. Thanks also to Instructors Bob Corson, Ed Nichols, Jennifer Frederick, Alan Frederick, Doug Robbins, Peter Bell, and to the Ramada Inn for its hospitality and excellent lunch.

Senior Judges Bob Corson and Ed Nichols presided over the morning session which was attended by all participants.      Speed Control systems were one of the day's highlights.  Excellent lunch time  presentations were given by Eric Horton of  Perfect Pass, and Jack Mills of Accuski  to the audience of judges, scorers and drivers.
	In the afternoon the Judges clinic continued, drivers moved to the lake for on water testing. A special sessions was held for scorers at which Senior Scorer Jennifer Frederick demonstrated the finer points of the WSTIMS computer scoring system.
On Sunday the drivers clinic continued with all clinic participants invited to ski.  The enthusiasm of the participants would not be dampened by the less than perfect weather.  Two lakes and 5 Malibu, MasterCraft and Nautique boats were used to give each driver hands on experience calibrating and driving the various boat/speed control combinations.  Eric Horton and Gary Allen of Perfect Pass, and Jack Mills of Accuski worked directly with the drivers as they calibrated the speed control systems in all 3 events.	Gary Allen of Perfect Pass answered drivers questions while Eric Horton worked with teams of drivers setting up boats.

Drivers Ed Herman, Tom Barber and Vic Romeo completed the obligatory paperwork under the supervision of Sr Driver Alan Frederick.
