Located 30 min. west of Syracuse in central NY,
Pecks' Pond is a man made lake nestled in a beautiful north/south
valley protected by banks and trees on both sides. It is spring
fed with a clay bottom. The water is always a little muddy making
it ski relatively slow for this far north.
The pond was a family project that started in the winter of
'89. We had our first tournament in June of '91, Pecks #1. In
July we will be holding our 20th tournament.
We
have a club with 5 juniors and 6 adults mainly all slalom skiers.
The pond is busy on week nights and slow on the weekends. The
club will hold another junior clinic this summer July 7,8,9
and we are planning our first Record Slalom in August.
