East Represented at WOW on Tour

Susie Lohr and Patty Zeisler, two of sixteen skiers at the Women of Water Skiing Pro Tour, have Eastern Region roots. The team event was held at Crane’s Roost in Altamonte Springs near Orlando. Each team was composed of a jumper, tricker, slalom skier, and a boarder.

Patty’s team, sponsored by Swerve Magazine, placed second, and Patty placed third in jumping. Susie’s team was sponsored by Tommy’s Surf, Slalom and Guitar Shop, and placed third. Susie placed second in tricks behind Britt Larsen. The team format was interesting to the crowd and adds a new dimension to the sport.

Sponsors included Zima, MasterCraft, Overtons, O’Brien and others. Sherri Slone and Jennifer Leachman coordinated the event with the Powerboat Races, which attracted a large audience. Television crews filmed most of the excitement, which necessitated trips by each skier to the makeup room before visits to the starting dock. Coverage is expected on Prime Network, to include a one hour show with narration by Camille Duvall.
