Alex Lauretano is on a roll!!! She has skied exceptionally well
in two recent tournaments, establishing new region records in each.
At the Can-Am Championships, she set three new Eastern Region
records in one round. The Eastern Region records she broke are as
follows.

The one of Alex smiling is her coming out of the water after she
ran 1 @ 38 in the final round. Everyone, both USA and Canada, gave
her a long round of applause as she came out of the water.

longer included on the web page: In the Junior event, Lauretano
swept titles in Girls' slalom, tricks, jumping and overall. She
scored 1 buoy at 38 feet in slalom, tallied 6,390 points in tricks,
and leaped 132 feet in jumping to finish with 3,000.0 overall points.
In Boys' action, Selsor won the overall title, tallying 2,641.4
points; Travers won the slalom title, scoring 2-1/2 buoys at 38
feet off; and Pickos won the tricks title, scoring 8,040 points.
In the 17 to 21 event, Wolfe won titles in Women's slalom (2-1/2
buoys at 35 feet off), jumping (142 feet) and overall (2,949.7 points.
In Men's action, Burdick won slalom (2-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet
off), Nightingale won tricks (8,010 points) and Reid won overall
(2,665.7 points).
At the Jack Travers' Sunset Lakes Fall Classic Record Tournament
in Florida this weekend (10/1/05), Alex skied three personal best
performances and broke the Eastern Region records again!
Alex skied 2 buoys at 38-off in the Slalom event, scored 6870 in
Tricks, and jumped 146 feet. The trick and slalom scores are new
records, and her overall score of 4174.2 is also a new record. Alex'
jump of 146' was while doing a 3/4 cut.
