WSDA Nationals

The 2005 host of the WSDA (disabled) Nationals recently became unable to hold the event this year. The Lakeland Water Ski Club came forward on short notice to organize and host the 2005 WSDA Nationals at the new lake at AWSEF and USAWS Headquarters. The event will take place July 28-30, 2005.

The Lakeland Water Ski Club is seeking donations to hold this event which is a world record capability tournament. Beyond normal expenses entailed in hosting a world record capability event, other substantial expenses are involved in hosting the 2005 WSDA Nationals. For instance, walkways and rails need to be installed to accommodate these remarkable athletes. Additionally, for sight impaired athletes transportation between the lodging facilities and lake will need to be provided.
