Judson "Jud" Spencer, 77, of Owego

Judson W. "Jud" Spencer, 77, of Owego passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Hospital after battling recent illness. Jud was enjoying the stables and pulling water skiers just days before his passing. Jud was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Paul Manderino, Newport Beach, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jacqueline Spencer, Owego; grandchildren, Alexander, Aaron, Christopher, Jocelyn, Tiffany, Calli and Kathryn; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jeannette and Cutler Baldwin, June Blackie, Jewell and Charlie Parchski, Joanne and Delane Isaac. Jud began his careers building homes, then built Spencer Lake on Day Hollow Rd. And continued on to Spencer Lake Arabian Riding Stable which was the love of his life. He was a water skiing champion from the 1960's onto the 80's. He loved his outdoor sports. Jud will be dearly missed by the many who knew him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m. At the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, with Rev. Philip Jordan officiating. Burial will take place in the Broadway Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.
