EVP Announcements 7/10/07

Congratulations Jamie!

New Hampshire’s Jamie Beauschesne set a pending world slalom record at the Malibu Open in Lacaneau, France, last weekend scoring an incredible 2 buoys at 43 off. Another outstanding performance by the most accomplished slalom skier in Eastern Region history.

Congratulations Alex!

Connecticut’s Alex Lauretano set new Open Women, Eastern Region records in Trick and Jump. At the 2007 Junior US Open, Alex scored 7,320 points breaking the 7,110 point record set by Sparta, Virginia’s Susie Lohr in 1998. At the 2006 Pan American Championships in Mexico last fall, Alex soared 155’ to set a new Eastern Region Open Women Jump record eclipsing the 148’ record established by Susie Lohr also in 1998. Fantastic skiing by one of the most accomplished 3 event skiers in Eastern Region history.

Attention Officials…

Official clinics are being planned for the 2007 Eastern Regionals. Any officials in need of a maintenance clinic, or aspiring officials in need of clinics or upgrade testing, please contact EVP, Doug Robbins, by email or phone at (724) 816-1995. Please include what type of official you are or you are aspiring to be, as well as what day(s) you will be in attendance at the 2007 Regionals at Twin Lakes in Monroe, NY.

Attention Technical Controllers

A Technical Controller is needed to serve as an appointed official at the 2007 Nationals in Bakersfield, CA., from August 13-18. If you are available and willing to volunteer, please contact Tom Dusin and Gene Davis as soon as possible.
