Notes from the EVP Re: 2007 Nationals

EVP Message – August 22, 2007 – Nationals Results

Here is a brief recap of the recently concluded National Tournament that was held in Bakersfield, California from August 13th to August 18th.

First of all, thank you to the following Eastern Region Officials who worked at the National Tournament. I can assure you that they did not work in ideal conditions. They had a poor experience with the accommodations provided by the Host Club and they worked throughout the week in very hot weather. The Officials from the East Region were:

We appreciate your dedication to the sport and your willingness to volunteer for this important work.

I want you all to know that I am working with a task force to revise the contract that governs the performance of the Host Club and provides clear guidelines and rules on issues that have arisen at recent National Tournaments. The new contract will be finalized by the middle of September and will be used to govern the 2008 National Tournament.
