Alex Lauretano on 2005 Junior Team

The 2005 US Water Ski Team Trials were held this past weekend at McCormick's in Sefner, Florida. Alex Lauretano of Morris Connecticut and a member of the Old Farms Water Ski Club in Avon Connecticut was selected as a member of the US Junior Water Ski Team.

Alex finished second in the Slalom competition, 1st in Tricks, 1st in Jump, and 1st Overall in the three round event. Those were outstanding results in a competition that included all of the best Water Ski athletes in the United States. The US Junior Water Ski Team will represent the United States in the Can Am Challenge in San Marcos Texas on September 3rd and 4th. The Can Am Challenge pits the United States against Canada.
